The Birthday Party Project

Everyday, around the world, homeless children go without birthday celebrations or even a cake or a gift on their special day. Sadly, at that point in their young lives, they can’t even imagine what that would be like. However, Brooke’s close friend Paige Chenault and her non-profit organization The Birthday Party Project, is changing all that one birthday at a time.

The idea came to Paige, an event planner by trade, as she became excited to throw parties for her own daughter. After coming across a photo of malnourished child, “It just sort of hit me. This kid will never feel celebrated like I could celebrate my daughter,” she said. “I could do a lot of things for my kid, but I want to do it in a greater way with a bigger purpose.”

Founded in 2012 in Dallas, The Birthday Party Project set out to celebrate every homeless child’s birthday in the state of Texas. The organization and its beautiful mission has steadily grown and now reaches 8 cities across the United States. Known as “birthday enthusiasts”, the organization’s volunteers set out each month to celebrate children’s birthdays for that month. Each month has a different theme and every child gets their own hat, badge, an individual birthday cake and their very own present.

“My goal is that each child feels something that lets them know how important they are, how much they matter,” Paige said. “They deserve to be celebrated, that in this moment of chaos in their life, this moment of confusion, that there is light and that there are people out there cheering for them.”

We would not be more happy and proud for Paige and her heartwarming mission to change the lives of these children. At the end of the day, after all the parties, the most gratifying part of what we do is the happiness we see on a client’s face…and what could be better than the happiness of an innocent child who’s world could be changed for the better in just one simple day? We wish her and The Birthday Party Project the best in all their endeavors and are excited to see what’s to come for this incredible company!
